Glenville Vacation Rentals Updated

Posted on November 29, 2018April 20, 2020 by Katie

The weather is turning cold here in Glenville, and I am finally making some time to work on the website. It’s embarassing to admit, but two new vacation rentals have been going for months and I am only just now adding them here. I also had awesome photos by Sar Sheehan of the Tiny Cabin (taken almost a year ago), Snug Cabin and Tiny 2 Story (taken more recently) to add.

The Tiny Cabin

This cabin was our first vacation rental and remains our most popular. I really do feel that the photos taken by Sar Sheehan made a huge difference this year. Good photos are undoubtedly one of the most influential aspect on vacation rental bookings. If you click on any of these photos, it will open the cabin’s page. This cabin also has kayaks available to use, which is a fun bonus for people visiting Lake Glenville.

This cabin has been on the property for the longest, but we only turned it into a vacation rental last winter. I called it the Charming Cottage because it looks like a cottage from a fairy tale to me. This cabin has such a beautiful and cozy interior with white washed walls, wide plank flooring, and a loft bedroom that feels like a tent. I will probably update the photos for this cabin in the near future.

The Snug Cabin

The Snug Cabin launched as a vacation rental in May of this year. It was only partially finished when we bought the property next door. Mike worked hard to finish the interior, and I helped paint and decorate it. As always with a new house, there were some kinks to work out at the start. But now it is really a snug, little cabin (the smallest of all three with about 230 square feet floor space). I would like to jazz up the outside a little, maybe with some wall art.

The Tiny 2 Story

This cabin was also only partially done when we bought the property, but Mike refinished it first. It was a full time rental for a little while, and then it was the home of a business. When it came empty late this summer, we decided to make it into a vacation rental too. That meant we had to fix it up a bit, so we repainted the entire interior. I decided to use a grey stain on the interior trim to give it a barn wood effect. It turned out very pretty!

All of the cabins are available on Airnb.
